1-Minute Forex Scalping Systems: 7 M1 Strategies Compared
One-minute scalping aims for a few pips per trade on the M1 chart, usually during the London and New York sessions. These seven systems use MACD, Stochastic, EMAs, volatility filters or custom arrow indicators. On M1, spreads and commissions take a large share of every target, so read the cost section of our forex scalping guide before testing any of them.
These systems were collected from public trading forums and are explained here for education. They have not been independently backtested; results depend on spreads, execution and discipline.

How to Test These Systems Safely
- Pick one or two systems whose rules you can follow without interpretation.
- Set them up on a demo account with the broker’s real spreads; several systems use custom indicators that must be installed in MQL4/Indicators (see our free MT4 indicators for common tools).
- Check that arrow or signal indicators do not repaint: scroll back and compare past signals with what you saw live.
- Record at least 50-100 trades, including costs, before deciding whether a system has an edge.
- Risk 0.5-1% per trade and stop for the day after a set loss.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is 1-minute scalping profitable?
It can be for disciplined traders with low costs, but spreads and slippage take a large share of small targets. Test any M1 system on a demo account with realistic spreads first.
Which pairs suit 1-minute scalping?
The most liquid pairs with the tightest spreads, such as EUR/USD, USD/JPY and GBP/USD, during the London and New York sessions.
Should I use a higher timeframe with M1 systems?
Yes. Checking the M5 or M15 trend and trading only in its direction removes many losing signals.
