Forex Pivot Point Calculator (Classic, Fibonacci, Woodie, Camarilla)
Use this free forex pivot point calculator to get today’s pivot, support and resistance levels from the previous day’s high, low and close. It shows the four main methods side by side, Classic, Fibonacci, Woodie and Camarilla, and tells you which levels sit just above and below the current price.
| Level | Classic | Fibonacci | Woodie | Camarilla |

Use the previous day’s high, low and close for daily pivots (forex days end at 5 PM New York time), or the previous week or month for swing levels. Educational tool only.
Pivot Point Formulas
H, L and C are the previous period’s high, low and close; R = H − L.
| Method | Pivot | Resistance | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic (floor) | P = (H + L + C) ÷ 3 | R1 = 2P − L; R2 = P + R; R3 = H + 2(P − L) | S1 = 2P − H; S2 = P − R; S3 = L − 2(H − P) |
| Fibonacci | P = (H + L + C) ÷ 3 | P + 0.382R, P + 0.618R, P + 1.000R | P − 0.382R, P − 0.618R, P − 1.000R |
| Woodie | P = (H + L + 2C) ÷ 4 | Classic formulas with this pivot | Classic formulas with this pivot |
| Camarilla | Built around the close | Rn = C + R × 1.1 ÷ 12, 6, 4, 2 | Sn = C − R × 1.1 ÷ 12, 6, 4, 2 |
Worked Example (EUR/USD)
Yesterday’s EUR/USD: high 1.0950, low 1.0850, close 1.0920. The classic pivot is (1.0950 + 1.0850 + 1.0920) ÷ 3 = 1.0907, with R1 at 1.0963, S1 at 1.0863, R2 at 1.1007 and S2 at 1.0807. These are the values the calculator shows by default. With price at 1.0915, just above the pivot, the early bias is mildly bullish and R1 is the first upside target.
Which Method Should You Use?
- Classic pivots are the most widely watched, which is why price reacts to them most often. Start here.
- Fibonacci pivots suit traders who already use Fibonacci levels.
- Woodie pivots weight the close more heavily, which some intraday traders prefer.
- Camarilla levels are tight around the close: fade moves at R3/S3 in ranges, trade breakouts through R4/S4.
Use the previous day’s data from a broker whose daily candles close at 5 PM New York time, so your levels match what most traders see. The full strategies are in our forex pivot points guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate daily pivot points?
Add the previous day’s high, low and close and divide by three to get the pivot. Then R1 = 2 × pivot − low and S1 = 2 × pivot − high; the calculator does the rest.
Can I use pivot points for swing trading?
Yes. Enter the previous week’s or month’s high, low and close to get weekly or monthly pivots, which matter more on higher timeframes.
Do pivot points work in forex?
They are widely watched by intraday traders, so price often reacts near them, especially the pivot, R1 and S1. They work best combined with price action confirmation and a fixed stop.
